Alan Moore's Neonomicon Hornbook
CBR | 19 pages | Jan 2010 | 14.4 MB
Some say Alan Moore is the greatest comic book writer who ever lived. That claim may be open to discussion but it is undeniable that Alan Moore has written great comic books, among which, Watchmen, is on the top of many shortlists as the greatest comic book ever written. Anyhow, Neonomicon is a sneak peek into Alan Moore's next series which is a sequel to The Courtyard, published way back in 2003. As with The Courtyard, Jacen Burrows will be doing the artwork.

Aliens vs. Predator: Three World War #1 (of 6)
CBR | Jan 2010 | 28 Pages | 25.1 MB
It has been two decades since Dark Horse first provided the matchup of Aliens vs. Predator, which I suppose most comics buffs in the 90's have avidly devoured. Since then, Dark Horse has revisited the concept more than a few times, and the title bout has also been translated to movies. Dark Horse has decided to relaunch the Aliens and the Predator franchises in 2009 and apparently this matchup is getting the same treatment, even bringing back the original creative team of Randy Stradley and Rick Leonardi. This series attempts to tie together story threads introduced in the original AvP series and new Aliens and Predator storylines, setting the stage for an epic AvP brawl.

In the new tradition of musicians creating comics comes Radical’s Incarnate, from Nick (son of KISS’ Gene) Simmons, a three-issue miniseries that is a reinvention of the vampire mythos. Simmons, as both writer and artist surprisingly does a respectable job of breathing new life into the undead. The comic, unlike others from Radical Comics eschews the high-brow painterly approach and comes across just like any normal comic book on the stands, except that it clearly shows Simmons' manga influence. The solicited dates of release are not really accurate; the second issue Minutemen scan surfaced just last week.

Alan Moore's The Courtyard is a 2003 comic book adaptation of a 1994 prose story written by Alan Moore as part of H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. The plot centers around an FBI agent who specialises in "anomaly theory", being assigned to investigate three seemingly-unrelated murder cases. This Wildstorm series is actually a comic book prequel to the 2009 Capcom game Resident Evil 5, simply titled Resident Evil, which centers around two original members of the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance) named Mina Gere and Holiday Sugarman. Written by Ricardo Sanchez and illustrated by Kevin Sharpe and Jim Clark, the first issue was published on March 11, 2009. On November 11, 2009, the third issue with new artist Jheremy Raapack on board was released with the fourth scheduled for March 24, 2010. It took me this long to find the Minutemen scans--just kidding.
